Start/Sit: Week 12

Start: Jimmy Garoppolo vs Saints
Jimmy G has seen great success with his big array of weapons, and is coming up on a great stretch of matchups in the upcoming weeks against New Orleans, Miami, Seattle, Washington, and Las Vegas. Jimmy G has big upside against a Saints defense that ranks 19th against fantasy QBs, and could find himself as a top 5 QB for the 2nd week in a row. Garoppolo has enough weapons around him to carry a big fantasy performance in favorable matchups.
Sit: Aaron Rodgers vs Eagles
Rodgers has been a reliable QB after his initial start, but do not let that consistency bait you into this week. Rodgers has been hitting his stride with rookie WR Christian Watson, but is coming up against a tough Week 12 matchup against the Eagles. The Eagles are ranked 2nd against fantasy QBs, and are home to the NFL interception leader C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Rodgers is better left on the bench with a good amount of serviceable starters available on waivers in Week 12.
Start: Jeff Wilson Jr. vs Houston
Wilson has found his home in Miami after falling out of the San Fran rotation, and seems to work well with former OC Mike McDaniels. Wilson has 36 fantasy points in the past two games with the Fins, and has edged out Raheem Mostert as both teh lead rusher and receiving back. Wilson out-carried Mostert 17-8 in the game against the Browns, and should continue to see plenty of opportunities in the high flying Miami offense. The Texans has allows the most fantasy points to RBs this year (28.9), which should lead to a favorable game script for Miami. Miami should also gain an early lead, making it more likely Wilson sees a lot of touches. Wilson is a bank robbing money play in a week against the worst rush defense in the league.
Sit: Alvin Kamara vs San Francisco
Kamara is a hard sit for owners, but do not let his name value outweigh his actual production. Kamara has only scored 25 points in the past 3 games, and is coming up against a rough matchup in the 49ers. Kamara is talented enough to be a tempting start, but the matchup and recent production do not bode well for the start back. Kamara on the road against the insanely talented 49ers likely bumps Kamara down the a RB2 in Week 12.
Start: Darius Slayton vs Dallas
Slayton should benefit from the injury to rookie WR Wan'Dale Robinson, and could immediately step in as the #1 WR in that offense. Slayton has managed 14 targets in the past 2 weeks, and has accumulated 181 yards in the process. Slayton should be the main threat on the outside against the Cowboys, who has been good against WRs this year. Slayton has the opportunity to overcome a tough matchup in Week 12.
Sit: Christian Watson vs Eagles
Watson is a tempting start after his recent performance, but it would be unwise to expect a big return in a tough matchup against the Eagles. Watson has been a TD dependent explosive WR for the Packers, but was out-targeted by Allen Lazard 11-6 last week. Watson is a boom or bust play, and is leaning towards bust against a stacked Eagles secondary.
Start: New York Jets vs Bears
The Jets offensive struggles have overshadowed some stellar defensive performances by the Jets. The Jets have secretly landed as a top 12 D/ST for the since Week 4, and is facing against a great matchup against the Chicago Bears. The Jets have scored well against offenses such as Miami and Buffalo, so should have no problem against a miserable Bears offense with an injured Justin Fields.
Sit: Buffalo Bills vs Lions
The Bills are usually a top ranked defense, but could be worth not playing in favor of some streaming defenses in Week 12. The Bills face off against the high scoring Detroit Lions in Week 12, and while they usually put up a good effort, the Lions have been high scoring so far this year. The Bills are not a bad play, but it is worth considering options such as Washington, New York Jets, or Kansas City, all of which have more favorable matchups in Week 12.
