Waiver Wire: Week 15

Brock Purdy (8.2% rostered)

Purdy is not the most talented player on waiver wire but he has something that few other available QBs have... a plethora of weapons on the offense. Purdy has been solid in his debut, taking on the GOAT himself and walking away with a W, throwing for 185 yards and 3 TDs along the way. Purdy will not always be the stat stuffer that Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, or Justin Herbert is, but his arsenal of weapons can carry the workload, especially heading into playoffs.

Zonovan Knight (56.1% rostered)

Knight has been the unsung hero of the Jets offense while outworking both Michael Carter and James Robinson. Knight was the clear cut lead workhorse back in the offense in Week 14, carrying the ball 17 times (compared to Carters 5), for 71 yards and a touchdown along the way. Knight has landed as a top 15 back for the second week in a row, and is coming along good matchups against Seattle and Miami. Knight could be a late season league winner going into playoffs.

Donovan Peoples-Jones (51.2% rostered)

Jones has benefitted from the arrival of Deshaun Watson, as he led all Browns WRs in receiving categories in Week 14. DPJ saw 12 targets in the loss to Cincy, and could see decent usage looking forward. If you are in desperate need of a WR, DPJ could help fill a hole, as he is the 13th highest scoring WR since Week 10. DPJ is not the biggest league winner, but he could fill in for a slot with some big injuries to big WRs ahead of playoffs.

Evan Engram (50.2% rostered)

Before I begin, Engram will likely not repeat his performance in Week 14. His 11 reception for 162 yards and 2 TDs led the field of TEs, and while that may seem unobtainable again this year, we could see his usage continue to be high moving forward. The Jags have been inconsistent this year, but it is for certain that Lawrence has taken big strides in his second season. Lawrence clearly can trust his TE, making Engram have a higher ceiling than most other TE options on the wire.

Washington D/ST (50.3% rostered)

Washington hosts a top 10 fantasy defense, yet is owned in barely half of leagues??? Washington is a high pressure defense that is able to pressure the QB into making bad turnovers while also keeping scores pretty low. Washington is coming off of a bye week, making them refreshed before playing a recovering Giants offense. They are a must pick up, especially for those streaming defenses for week 15.
